
Construction of Shirdi airport could be complete by December The construction of airport near Shirdi (kakadi village) is likely to be complete by year-end, a top official of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) said. The airport is coming up at Kakadi village, 14 km from the temple town, for which the construction is started in 2010. The construction of the runway was over but the terminal building is in progress and will be completed by this year, MADC Managing Director, Tanaji Satre said. Shirdi saibaba temple trust has provided Rs 45 crore for the construction of airport. Shirdi town attracts lakhs of visitors every year because of the Saibaba shrine. |
